The Bill (Reg. No. 0955) aims at humanization of criminal legislation, which constitutes one of the important commitments of Ukraine before the Council of Europe.
The proposed amendments envisage partial decriminalization of actions and more individual approach to the choice of punishment for committed crimes. Inter alia, it is proposed to increase the criminal liability age of the juvenile from 14 to 16 years.
The People´s Deputies advanced a number of proposals. Inter alia, they suggest leaving the age of criminal liability for terrorism and banditry unaltered.
